Delete your account
Applies to the Phynx web app and the Phynx mobile apps for iOS and Android.
You can ask Phynx to delete your account at any time. There are two ways to do it, depending on the kind of account you have:
- Ticket buyers — if you bought a ticket through Phynx, you can request deletion yourself from the app (section 1).
- Everyone else — venue team accounts (operator, promoter, owner) and guests who were added to a guestlist without buying a ticket: email us (section 2). This also works for ticket buyers who prefer not to use the app.
1. Ticket buyers: request deletion in the app
- Sign in at app.phynx.studio (or open the Phynx app) with the email or phone number you used to buy your tickets.
- Open My tickets, then Delete account, or go directly to https://app.phynx.studio/me/account/delete.
- Confirm by pressing Delete account. You are signed out immediately.
Right away, your name, email address, and phone number are removed from the account, and every sign-in method and active session is revoked. The account is then scheduled for deletion and completed under the timeline in section 3. If the app does not offer the Delete account option for your account, use the email route below instead.
2. Everyone else: request deletion by email
- Email privacy@phynx.studio from the email address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”.
- We reply to confirm the request. If the message did not come from the account’s email, we may ask you to verify ownership first.
- Once verified, we process the request under the timeline in section 3 and reply to confirm.
If you no longer have access to the app or to the account’s email, write to the same address from any inbox and include the organization name and the email or phone number on the account.
3. What is deleted, and when
Once a request is accepted, we delete or de-identify the personal information tied to your account within 90 days, as described in our Privacy Policy. This covers:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and profile details.
- Your sign-in credentials, linked sign-in providers, and active sessions.
- Your memberships in venue organizations.
- Product-analytics data linked to your account.
4. What may be retained
Some records are kept because we are legally required to keep them, or because they belong to a venue rather than to you:
- Orders, payments, and receipts — retained for as long as tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention rules require.
- Venue records — guestlist entries, check-ins, and other records a venue organization created about its guests are controlled by that organization, which decides how long to keep them; Phynx processes them on the organization’s behalf. Audit log entries are retained for the period the organization configures (up to 10 years).
